Mission

To create a science learning community for Concho Valley teachers, schools, and districts through program development and sustained teacher professional development in science content, pedagogy, and curriculum development.

Accomplishments

The Region XV STMs are preparing for another school year. Our ITMs had an eventful summer. Pam Cohea, Robin Dehnel, Debbie Lisoski, and Marsha Tharp all made presentations at the 14th annual meeting in July. Robin Dehnel attended Physics for All: Energy and Momentum, Ginger Anderson attended the TRC High School Astronomy Project, and Pam Cohea and Marsha Tharp attended Middle School Chemical Interactions. When school starts this fall, STMs will begin mentoring their Cadre Members with information they receive at trainings in Chemistry for All, Chemical Interactions, Geosciences, Physics For All, Texas Earth and Space Science Revolution, Astronomy and a wealth of many other great inservices. Robin Dehnel and Ginger Anderson will present at CAST 2008 in Fort Worth. The enthusiasm and devotion of our mentors is a driving force that makes our collaborative a successful venture!
